We have invested a great deal in transport on Cobalt, with a dedicated Travel
Co-Ordinator on-site able to provide personal travel plans for all Cobalt members
and a regularly updated Travel Section on the Cobalt website with information on
all possible modes of transport to and from Cobalt Business Park. From the Cobalt
Clipper 309 Service running between Blyth and Newcastle, Car Sharing and Taxi
Share schemes to designated off-road cycle routes that connect up to the
Waggonways Cycle Ways your journey to work should be as easy and carefree as is
possible. Cobalt members can also borrow one of ten brand new bicycles to get
around the park, whether for a leisurely cycle during a lunch hour or to commute
between buildings on the ever expanding Cobalt site.
The newly designed Cobalt Community website includes a daily updated ‘What’s On’
and 'Lifestyle' section which details everything you need to know about entertainment
at Cobalt and in the North East as well as reviewing Restuarnts and Hotels in the
region. From the annual Waggonways Cycle Ride to concerts and festivals in Newcastle
to the review section where you can rate or slate what’s hot and what’s not in terms
of nights out, dining-out, accommodation and family entertainment. Shop on line with
Cobalt E-shop and have your order delivered direct to your door, share your views in
the website discusion forum or watch the Community TV or even use the Classifieds to
place adverts.
Feel free to join one or more of the many clubs available at Cobalt such as the BUG
Bicycle User Group- a group for anyone interested in cycling, BUDI Walk- a group
dedicated to exploring the surrounding Countryside of Cobalt and led by a registered
Walk Leader, BUDI run- an ideal group for both recreational runners and those
training for a big event the Cobalt Park 5-a-side League run in conjunction with
North Shields Powerleague Soccer Dome or the Tai Chi Group. We have something for
