to travel to work. The area around Cobalt is surrounded by a network of traffic-free routes which are
well lit, well surfaced and regularly maintained by North Tyneside Waggonways Officers, and consists of
bridleways, refurbished colliery waggonways and railway lines. With the wide range of flora and fauna
on site including a score of varied animal life- ranging from rabbits to kestrals-your journey by foot is
sure to be an interesting one!

The designated Cobalt Walk Officer would be only too happy to advise on the most suitable walking
route for you. There is also the BUDI walk system where you can match your journey with other staff on
Cobalt Park. Cobalt’s walking group meets regularly over the lunchtime period to explore the
surrounding countryside of the park. Three maps are also available for download for self-led walks
which follow circular routes taking 15, 25 and 30 minutes commencing from Cobalt Business Park.
