"Office workers in the North East are the first business park employees to keep fit thanks to an innovative new craze.

Nordic Walking - a practice that allows participants to give their whole body a workout – has been offered to employees at Cobalt Park business site in North Tyneside.

The introduction of Nordic Walking is part of an ongoing initiative to promote wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.

Catherin Hughes from British Nordic Walking, said: 'It's great that employees at cobalt are the first on a UK business park to have access to Nordic Walking sessions. Among the range of benefits is better posture, which is particularly helpful for people whose work means that they spend a high proportion of the day sitting at a desk.'
Cobalt Park is the largest one of its kind in the UK and holds a proud reoutation of offering free activities to its 9,500 employees."
