Data centre powers up

This autumn Highbridge Properties will start construction on its first-ever data centre at Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside.

It has raised £175m of syndicated debt – mainly from private investors, but with a small injection of bank finance – to speculatively build a 45,875 sq ft facility alongside the existing 1.2m sq ft offices at the park. It is being marketed as Data Centre 1.
