Highbridge bytes into demand for data centres
04/10/2011

Higbridge Properties has revealed details of its expansive new data centre campus in North Tyneside this week, which includes two centres that will be speculatively developed later this year.
The first phase of the Cobalt Data Centre Campus will include DC2, a 36,100 sq ft data centre and DC3, a 25,800 sq ft data centre. They will join the 45,800 sq ft DC1 data centre, which was completed last year. Each centre will include four separate data halls, powered by a national grid substation.
The decision to develop speculatively is timely for Highbridge, as the proliferation of new technology demands ever-increasing amounts of data storage for the companies that use them.
